SEMBDNER towed seed drill GSD for all gardening, farming and forestry seeds
The SEMBDNER manual seed drill was designed in collaboration with professional gardeners and field vegetable farmers and has been well proven throughout many years.
Control tape adjustment allows all gardening as well as agricultural and forestry seeds to have their seed rates adjusted quickly and precisely.
Rugged design and easy operation make the manual seed drill an indispensable seeder.
A good, fine seedbed is recommended for sowing. The sowing quantity per acreage or per running metre needs to be determined by calibrating the vegetable seed drill.
Control tapes
The seed drill can be adjusted precisely and quickly via control tapes. Two control tapes are standard equipment. Additionally: Control tapes can also be manufactured in accordance with your specifications, e.g. for carrots.
Other accessories:
2 Wide coulters
(53 mm and 68 mm) with speckling pin.
Granulate spreader type GRG for pest control
This additional device offers ideal application of spreading material for the pesticides instead of an expensive and labour-intensive wide spreading process in an additional work step. It can also be hooked on to earlier purchased Sembdner seed drills in no time. (Comes with set-up instructions).
Principle of operation:
The granulate is spread simultaneously with sowing after seed disposition. The spreading material flows as band from the granulate spreader attachment into the seed furrow via a pipe. The insecticide does not come into contact with the deposited seed in the process because the soil is flowing together behind the sowing coulter after sowing. The spreading material is covered by the furrow closer with approx. 1 cm thick layer of soil.
- Sowing and pest control in one go
- No nozzle plugging and cleaning problems like in spray processes
- Precise quantity pre-setting and concentration
- Unaffected by wind or rain
- Large quantities saved

SEMBDNER device carrier GW
For GSD towed sowing machines. With 3-point suspension for Cat 1 and Cat 2.
Available in different widths, standard version GW 130. All other widths on request.
The carrier with front roller is independent from tractor track and can particularly be recommended for simultaneous pre-rolling on loose soil. Rolling ensures even sowing depth control.
SEMBDNER FG chassis for towed seed drill GSD
Using the FG chassis, a single-row manual seed drill for smaller sowing areas comes about for cases in which deployment of multi-row equipment would not be economically useful or is not possible (e.g. on field edges).
SEMBDNER frame beam for manual roller HR 60
Vegetable seed drills can be mounted on the manual roller HR 60 using the frame beam suitable for flat roller or grid roller.
HR 60 with mounted carrier frame for GSD
For use with vegetable seed drills

SEMBDNER granulate spreader type GRH for plant protection products
SEMBDNER offers the granulate spreader type GRH as auxiliary equipment to manual seed drills in case chemical plant protection should be absolutely necessary beyond correct crop management, for example, at high pest risk.
The design enables precise and hence economical band dosing of the plant protection product. It is therefore economical and takes account of environmental protection at the same time. The plant-health measure is also very cost-effective with regard to expenditure of human labour since sowing and spreading the plant protection product take place in one go.
The soil flows together over the seeds after sowing. The plant protection product is then dispensed wind-protected onto the soil that covers the seeds thus preventing direct contact between seeds and plant protection product. The following oscillating track eradicator covers the seed furrow with soil.
SEMBDNER hand-guided small seed drill K1 for plant propagation & vegetable seeds
Single-row seed drill for the gardener and hobby gardener who want to achieve professional results.
To achieve optimal success it is necessary to determine the desired sowing quantity per acreage or running metres by calibrating prior to sowing. A procedure for this is described in the operating instructions. Delivery does not include the shaft.
Equipment features:
- As opposed to broadcast sowing, row sowing has the advantage that plants can develop better. They have more space and light.
- Seed saving by exact placement of the seed.
- Higher yield from strong plants. Facilitated soil cultivation when scarifying and loosening during growth.
- Proven sowing technique at same distance and constant depth. Pre-ploughing a seed furrow is not required because the sowing coulter performs this job. Moreover, the sowing coulter takes care of wind-protected seed drop.
- Spreading the seeds is performed using a sowing shaft that passes through the seed box scoop chamber and which is driven via the two running wheels. Adjustment is made by moving the sowing shaft and by turning the brush gate upward or downward according to the kind of seeds, their size and the desired sowing quantity. The seed furrows are ploughed with the coulter attachment and the seed falling in is self-covered with soil again. The wheel track marks the next row. There is an additional marking device for larger row spacing.
- Kinds of seeds which can be sown with the machine: Vegetable and flower seeds, seasoning herbs as well as various forest seeds, from the smallest sizes, such as marjoram, poppy, clarkias, godetias, digitalis to pansies, cloves, also lettuce, endives, all cabbage varieties, carrots, parsley, leeks andradish, red radish, spinach and many others.
- The seed drill is all-metal, of rugged design, galvanised and therefore indestructible and easy to use.
- From the operational point of view, small seed drills have the advantage that work can be done in an upright position and easy on the back.
